There are over 189 ABA-accredited law schools in the U.S. and several hundred more abroad. There are online courses for people with too many responsibilities at home to focus on a traditional classroom course. I think law school was the best thing that ever happened to me and believe if you want to go, you should. There are no ifs, ands, or buts about it. But if your reasons for going are shallow, insincere, or uncertain, especially if they are based on a certain fictional television show that has nothing to do with the real life practice of criminal law, then you should seriously consider some other field. But if you want action, adventure, and the feeling you are making a difference in society and are amongst the most important professionals in all of time, then you should definitely go for it. The investment is a small price to pay for the feeling of truth, justice, and the American way.

Also, I am trying to help making this board better, not a station for gloom and doom where potential suicidal persons claim that they were somehow ripped off by their alma maters and as a self-esteem booster for the gainfully employed, "hey at least I'm not one of them". We have to help one another.

Relax. Sheesh, take a chill pill will you? And if this board is too "depressing" for you, why do you bother posting? There are millions of other "Help Other Lawyer" message boards on the internet. JDU was, and never will be one of them. It remains mostly a "vent" type forum and useless for actual networking purposes (with limited exceptions).
